About Delaware Zoological Society (Brandywine Zoo)
Mission: The Delaware Zoological Society supports the Brandywine Zoo with comprehensive events, camps, and programs, as well as manages admissions, marketing, fundraising, and community outreach to benefit Delawareans and visitors from throughout the Brandywine Valley.
The purpose of the Delaware Zoological Society, Inc. is to provide a comprehensive program of conservation, education and recreation to the citizens of the State of Delaware and the Brandywine Valley in support of the Brandywine Zoo.
The Brandywine Zoo is managed by the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation with the integral support of the Delaware Zoological Society.
The Delaware Zoological Society is a non-profit membership organization. Membership is a great way to help us while you benefit too. Members pay one annual fee and may visit the zoo without charge as often as desired, Members also get priority access to programs and discounts on key offerings, like camps.
The Society’s Annual Fund campaign helps fund the day-to-day work needed to run the business of the zoo, and the Our ZOO Re-imagined capital campaign looks to fund big improvements on the grounds of the zoo. Both campaigns welcome donors.
Many local citizens are active volunteers of the Delaware Zoological Society, and some serve as the board of directors. The leaders of the organization work closely with zoo management and volunteer time and expertise in service to the zoo. We welcome new volunteers.
