Mission: Cancer Support Community Delaware is a statewide nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. Support groups and programs are professionally led and are provided at no cost to help participants and caregivers cope with the emotional and life changing aspects of cancer.
Cancer Support Community Delaware (CSCDE) is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals affected by any type of cancer, including their caregivers and family members, manage both the emotional and physical aspects of the disease. We are a support system every step of the way during each individual’s journey with cancer; from diagnosis to treatment, remission, and beyond.
Cancer Support Community Delaware is unique in that we are the only organization in Delaware and surrounding areas dedicated exclusively to providing ongoing psychosocial support to cancer patients and their families in a home like, non-clinical, setting. We offer professionally-led support groups for the patient, caregiver and family member, mind/body stress reduction classes, such as yoga, tai chi, and meditation, and educational workshops all at no cost to the participant, caregiver and family members.
Our services are not an alternative to traditional cancer treatments, but rather go hand in hand with them to equip the patient and caregivers with the healthy psychosocial state necessary on their cancer journey.
