Organization Mission:

To foster and develop the arts in the geographic area of Middletown, Delaware encompassing the community’s culturally diverse resources and to preserve the historic nature of the Everett Theatre. Our mission features two primary directions: the visual arts expressed through the Gilbert W. Perry Jr. Center for the Arts and the performing arts expressed through the Everett Theatre complex.

Our mission is to foster and develop the visual and performing arts in Middletown. Indeed, for more than 103 years, The Everett has been the destination of choice for people of all ages to discover creativity and connection in a vibrant and robust arts community.

During our 2025 season, thanks to generous supporters like you, The Everett has:

* Welcomed more than 4,650 audience members to 6 musicals and plays
* Showcased 25 films to more than 1,550 film enthusiasts
* Inspired more than 280 children, adults, and seniors at 48 art, film, and theater classes
* Celebrated and spotlighted local artists in the inaugural year of “Lights Up”, a partnership between the Gibby Center for the Arts and the live stage productions
