TeenSHARP, Inc.

Building a diverse pipeline of leaders, one top college admission at a time

$16,401 raised from 192 donors

$20,000 goal

TeenSHARP has been working with Black, Latino, and low-income students since 2009 to prepare them for top colleges and equity-centered leadership.

The work has never been easy but it became substantially more challenging last March due to the pandemic. The TeenSHARP team and our TeenSHARP families have all had to DO MORE in the face of unprecedented challenges at school and at home.

For example, TeenSHARP started spending $10,000-$12,000 each month last summer to provide high quality math tutoring for our students as many struggle with learning online. That was never in our budget but doing "whatever it takes" is one of our core values at TeenSHARP.

At the same, the pandemic has made it even more difficult to find the resources need to support nonprofit work and the hundreds of students we serve in Delaware and across the region.

We invite you to support TeenSHARP and invest in our amazing students! Thanks.

About TeenSHARP, Inc.

Mission: Building a diverse pipeline of leaders, one top college admission at a time

Founded in 2009, TeenSHARP is a dynamic learning community that empowers Black, Latino, and low-income students across the Delaware Valley. By using top college admissions as a catalyst for change, we are reshaping the landscape of leadership in America.

What started with just 10 students in a church basement has grown into a movement, reaching hundreds of students through our transformative virtual programs. Over the past 16 years, more than 700 TeenSHARP scholars have gained admission to top institutions like Yale, MIT, Princeton, Cornell, Columbia, Penn, Vanderbilt, Macalester, Pomona, Northeastern, and Swarthmore.

Our impact goes beyond college acceptance—TeenSHARP alumni graduate on time, with minimal debt. Nearly all complete college within four years (all within six), and on average, they leave with $15,000 or less in student loans—a fraction of the national average.

At TeenSHARP, we don’t just help students get in—we prepare them to lead and thrive.
