Supporting Health Care in Sussex County!

Organization Mission:

La Red Health Center's Mission is to be a Center of Excellence which provides quality patient centered care to the diverse members of our community.

 Mission:

Our Mission

We are committed to being a Center of Excellence by delivering high-quality, patient-centered care that meets the needs of our community. We are committed to addressing the unique needs of every individual we serve, fostering an environment where patients, staff, and community members can achieve their highest potential.

Our Vision

To create a healthier Sussex County by delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care that celebrates community, fosters collaboration, and is rooted in respect, dignity, and safety for all. Through compassionate, innovative, and holistic practices, we aim to transform health outcomes and eliminate disparities across our region.

The Need:

La Red Health Center is one of the few health care providers in Sussex County that offers comprehensive care to everyone regardless of whether they health insurance. That's a big deal and lifesaving if you are one of the 11.1% of Sussex County residents who do not have health insurance. Health insurance is expensive and not always available to everyone.

Many residents who do have insurance often cannot afford health care services because of their high-deductibles, so many people will simply put off care until a small problem becomes a much larger, life-threatening health problem. La Red offers a sliding-fee scale to people with or without insurance, making health care services available, affordable and accessible to all Sussex County residents. It is what we do. Your support allows us to health care available to everyone.

La Red has set a goal of raising $20,000 through the Do More 24 Delaware Campaign.

The majority of La Red patients are uninsured, speak a language other than English and live at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. If La Red was not here, many of our patients would have very few options for health care services. La Red is a lifeline for many Sussex County families, particularly women and children. Your donation can help us make sure nobody in Sussex County goes without the health care they deserve.

This year, we need your help more than ever. An increasing number of patients have lost their insurance and need financial assistance paying for medications and essentials like insulin or diabetes testing supplies.
