Sinceramente,
Shandra Furtado, Directora de los Jardines SNAC, y el Equipo Directivo de la Escuela Primaria North Georgetown

Support Our Students' Future! Help Launch Our Farm Hub Summer Camp in Georgetown!

Dear parents of the North Georgetown Elementary community,

Located right next to the playground at NGE, the SNAC Garden serves as an outdoor classroom where students can engage in hands-on learning about nutrition, agriculture, and environmental stewardship. From planting seeds to harvesting fresh produce, students have the opportunity to connect with nature and learn valuable life skills.

But the SNAC Garden is more than just a place to grow fruits and vegetables. It's a vibrant ecosystem that fosters curiosity, creativity, and teamwork. Through gardening activities, students develop a deeper understanding of where their food comes from and the importance of sustainable practices. With your students, we spend dedicated time outside learning about science through the practice of growing food and learning about nature.

By contributing to our North Georgetown Elementary Garden Fund, you're not only helping us pay for a dedicated garden educator at NGE, but you're also instrumental in launching a new farming summer camp and mentorship program in Georgetown, in collaboration with Howard T. Ennis School (across from Central High), complete with a scholarship program that will be available to NGE students.

Your support means the world to us. With just a small donation, you can help us provide enriching experiences for our students. Every contribution, regardless of size, brings us closer to our goal. Additionally, the number of donations matters as much as the amount, as it helps us win extra prizes and reach our goal faster. A $5-10 donation goes a long way!

Thank you for your unwavering support. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our children's lives!

Sincerely,
Shandra Furtado, Director of the SNAC Gardens, and North Georgetown Elementary Leadership Team
