Nursing Transportation Partnership addresses healthcare gaps through a transportation lens. Our goal is to increase ride options for the elderly who needs assistance and transportation for medical care. Funding will be used to support and train volunteer chaperones for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services. A volunteer chaperone program is a low cost solution to improve access to care, reduce health disparities, decrease social isolation, and provide respite for caregivers.
