Mental health touches every family, every workplace, every classroom, and every community in Delaware. Through DoMore24, your support helps NAMI Delaware ensure that people are not left to struggle in silence and that help is available long before a crisis point.

Your donation fuels free education, prevention, and early intervention programs that help Delawareans of all ages recognize mental health challenges, respond with compassion, and build safer, more supportive communities.

What Your Support Makes Possible

📘 Read to Me Program (Pre K through 2nd Grade)
We reach children at a critical developmental stage by using age-appropriate stories and discussion to help young learners recognize and name big feelings like anxiety, sadness, bullying, depression, and othering. These early lessons build emotional awareness, empathy, and resilience that last a lifetime.

🧠 Suicide Prevention, QPR, and Mental Health First Aid
We equip adults with the tools to recognize what a mental health crisis looks like and how to respond effectively and safely. Through QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), Suicide Prevention, and Mental Health First Aid classes, participants learn how to intervene early, offer support, and connect people to help when it matters most.

🤝 Free Education and Signature Programs for All Delawareans
All of our education and signature programs are provided at no cost and are open to:
  • Individuals living with a mental illness diagnosis
  • Caregivers and loved ones
  • Community members seeking understanding and support
These programs create safe spaces for honest conversation, reduce stigma, and remind people they are not alone.

🏫 Customized Community Presentations
We meet people where they are. NAMI Delaware delivers customized educational presentations to schools, workplaces, faith communities, civic groups, and other organizations. These presentations improve daily environments by increasing understanding, encouraging compassion, and helping communities respond more equitably and supportively to mental health challenges.

🚓 Crisis Intervention Training for First Responders
We provide Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) to law enforcement and first responders so that calls to 911 result in safer, more informed outcomes for everyone involved. This training improves de-escalation, reduces harm, and strengthens trust between first responders and the communities they serve.
