Corey, New Jersey, Class of 2019
“My favorite aspect about GBC is how I feel as a student athlete. Juggling basketball and academics can be a lot, but GBC’s supportive community makes it easy. I feel capable of achieving both my academic and athletic goals (at a Division II level) here.” _______________________________________
Paulynn, California, Class of 2018
“I love Goldey-Beacom because of the supportive and encouraging environment. Even with traveling across the country for college, it didn’t take long for it to feel like home, like having a huge family right here in Delaware.” _______________________________________
Jonathan, Australia, Class of 2019
“Goldey-Beacom is nice because of its smaller size. Since it is a smaller community, it was very easy to make friends. The dorms are nice too, it isn’t your traditional small dorm, it is more like an apartment and has a full kitchen.” _______________________________________
Meet Tanner Turner-Rush and her mother, Michele Rush.

Tanner Turner-Rush “Goldey-Beacom initially just thought of as words, a college name soon became so much more to me. The night my mom got a phone call from Coach Cappi outlining the scholarships that I would be receiving is something I will never forget. The look of astonishment on her face as she asked him to repeat yet again how my college career would be made financially possible.
Goldey-Beacom became an extended family to me and allowed me to accomplish my dream to work in the finance industry. I had the opportunity to establish relationships with not only peers and teammates but also faculty/staff who cared about me as an individual and wanted to help me in achieving my personal goals. This would not have been possible without the scholarships that I was awarded. I am forever grateful to Goldey-Beacom College.”
Michele Rush “The academic and athletic scholarships that my daughter received from Goldey-Beacom College presented as the most incredible opportunity. As a single parent, the scholarships that she received lightened a financial burden that had initially seemed daunting and overwhelming.
Because of the scholarships, she was able to have a full college experience accomplishing her educational goals, excelling in both soccer and basketball while still having the ability to create long lasting friendships and relationships that extend beyond graduation.
As a result of the internship opportunities afforded her by the school, she has an incredible job in the local area. Also, she has recently become engaged to Jarrel Lane, a Goldey-Beacom alum and current assistant basketball coach. As her mother, I could not be more proud of the young woman that she has become, and I will never be able to thank Goldey-Beacom enough.”
So TODAY - for GIVE MORE 24 - please join us and make a profound difference for a young, enthusiastic student like Tanner!
