Ready to spur impact?

I’m Dwight Swaney.

I’m fundraising for 5th Annual Commuter Challenge! (Urban Bike Project of Wilmington).

Monkey Hill TT has always been on my wish list of events but constantly falls victim to scheduling conflicts. I'm psyched to announce that I'll be making my debut as part of the Commuter Bike Challenge fundraiser to benefit Urban Bike Project. Same course as the pro's but with as much functional stuff as we can safely haul up that 14% grade cobblestone climb to the finish. The caveat- I start with an empty bike and can only add additional items/weight to my bike when I hit donation goals. I'll elaborate below but I'm generally just looking forward to an amazing weekend of cycling with friends and raising funds for an incredible organization that is making biking and safety more inclusive in the Wilmington community.

The targets:
$50- Flat Jack comes along for the ride (a pillow version of my 15yo pup who passed last month)
$100- Pair of stem bags from local artisan L5 sewing to easily access snacks & bevvies
$250- Camelbak full of  Endo Tunies so I can relax and recover socially after the ride
$350- Nittany Mountain Works Frame bag full of pierogies and nerds gummy clusters
$500- Salsa Top-loader/front mount dry bag so I have dry clothes for the afterparty/heckling and Jack can ride up front
$750- Topeak Backloader with full bikepack camping gear in case I lose my keys again and we need to crash for the night in Brandywine Park
$1,000- I'm a banana. Nothing to do with weight or function but I'll ride in my jorts and banana costume
$1,500- Pull behind trailer filled with toys and stuffed animals for the children at Nemours

Thank you to everyone who has already made a contribution and those who do so in the coming weeks. You're technically donating to my fundraising page but every dollar raised goes directly to Urban Bike Project which is making a major impact with more inclusive and safer cycling outreach programs in the Wilmington community. I'll reach out to thank each of you individually and would love to see you all out there at the top of the cobbles on Friday May 15th!
