Founded on April 29, 1997, Delaware Pride is dedicated to promoting a safe space to advocate for diversity, equity, and accessibility for individuals of all genders and identities, creating a more visible and united LGBTQIA2+ community throughout Delaware.
Help us raise money for the 2026 Delaware Pride festival and our many events and support groups throughout the year!
Delaware Pride is a 501c3 nonprofit organization in the state of Delaware that seeks to promote inclusivity throughout the state for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community, while being mindful of the intersections that make our community diverse and great. Delaware Pride was founded in 1997 under the premise that Delaware needed a space where LGBTQIA+ community members could feel seen, loved, and could be themselves without judgement. Since 1997, Delaware Pride has grown into an organization that holds not only the statewide Pride festival each year, but also focuses on community advocacy and meaningful change through a youth program, speaking engagements, local events, and community building.

About Delaware Pride Inc.
The Pride flag represents the array of individuals for which it stands. Under that flag, Delaware Pride endeavors to be the hub of all LGBTQIA2+ groups throughout the state. To do this, Delaware Pride must:
1. Be proactive and equitable by creating safe spaces that allow persons of any age to question and receive affirmation.
2. Create more racial, ethnic diversity within and without the Board of Directors.
3. Expand the cultural base of members.
4. Revitalize the website and social media to create more inclusive collaboration between organizations.
5. Include individuals of all ages, cultures and abilities to find connections to social opportunities and resources.
6. Reassess all documents to stay current with the community’s terminology.
