This year, for Do More 24, we are putting our focus on our animal transport program. With an adoption center in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, plus seven satellite locations, we rely heavily on the resources needed to get animals in a warm, safe, temporary shelter before they find their forever home. Our Rehoboth Beach location is exclusively an adoption center; therefore, all of the medical care needed for our animals occurs at our Wilmington location. Once our animals receive all of the necessary care and vaccinations and are spayed/neutered by our Wilmington medical team, several of our animals are transported to our Rehoboth location. As you can imagine, this requires resources such as vehicles, fuel, maintenance, appropriate staffing, and items needed to secure our animals while going from here to there. Without our transport program, our animals would not be able to even get to our Rehoboth Beach adoption center -- which means that location would not be able to exist.
