Together, we can support the needs of the aging in Sussex County!
With the importance of the CHEER programs in the lives of seniors in Sussex County, CHEER is asking for your donation to support services as we near the end of the 2nd year of the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, CHEER held fundraising events such as Beach Day and Frontier Festival. Large groups of seniors and service providers from throughout the state raised funds in support of CHEER services to the aging population of Delaware’s southern-most county. The pandemic caused the seniors to lose these opportunities for socialization for the past 2 years. With your donation, CHEER can provide events again to bring both seniors and volunteers back to CHEER and enrich their lives.
CHEER, Inc. serves Sussex County’s population aged 50+ with activities that connect senior citizens with innovative programs designed to promote a healthy physical, mental and emotional lifestyle that helps to keep seniors active and living independently in their own homes and community. CHEER’s programs and services include nutrition, served in CHEER Activity Centers and to homebound seniors through CHEER’s Meals on Wheels program; Transportation to CHEER Centers and for local scheduled trips; Personal in-home health care assistance; social and recreational activities; adult day program; and hospitality venues.
