About Brain Cancer Answer Foundation
Brain Cancer Answer Foundation was formed four years ago in response to the passing of 29 year old Nicholas McGuiness from a malignant brain tumor. In his memory, all proceeds from our fundraising efforts will be donated to the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS), which helps patients access treatment, provides support groups for patients and families, channels funds to brain tumor research, and advocates for national funding.
Our golf tournament, auction, and generous donations raised over $144,000 in 2025, making us the top community fundraiser in the country for the NBTS! Since our inception, we have raised over $358,000. We are so grateful to our community, families, and friends whose tremendous support drove our success.

Since our inception, we have raised over $358,000. We are so grateful to our community, families, and friends whose tremendous support drove our success.
Our efforts have had a direct impact on some pivotal, first ever, advancements for the brain tumor community:
- NBTS introduced the Bolstering Research And Innovation Now (BRAIN) Act in Congress, the first-ever piece of legislation crafted to specifically address many of the unique challenges and opportunities facing the brain tumor community.
- NBTS played an instrumental role in securing FDA approval of the first-ever systemic therapy for low-grade gliomas.
- NBTS announced its first-ever Quality of Life Research grants, part of a concerted new program aimed at improving the lives of brain tumor patients and their caregivers.
- The FDA approved first-ever targeted therapy for pediatric low-grade glioma.
- The FDA granted accelerated approval of the first and only treatment for diffuse midline glioma- a rare, aggressive brain tumor that predominantly affects children and young adults.
We are passionate about this cause! Please consider donating to support our goal to remember Nicholas and make an impact in his name. Thank you in advance for your help.
