A fundraiser for: Newark Arts Alliance
Organization Mission:
The mission of the Newark Arts Alliance, a locally supported 501c3 nonprofit organization, is to provide the citizens of greater Newark with the opportunity to explore and display their creativity, as well as to participate in cultural events that build community.

Newark Arts Alliance.
The Newark Arts Alliance has been a huge source of support and inspiration for me on my writing journey over the past ten years. The friends and mentors I met there pushed me to publish my first book of poetry, to work to build a nurturing community for the arts in northern Delaware, and continue to encourage me in my artistic endeavors.
Over the past year, I have volunteered as the monthly Open Mic emcee, formed an arts supper club, organized the 2025 Plein Air Photography Challenge, and developed a proposed class for the NAA. And while volunteers like me can do a lot to help the Newark Arts Alliance achieve its mission of building community through the arts, it still needs money to pay the rent and keep the lights on, buy more chairs so everyone attending events has a place to sit, and ensure there are art supplies for its students.
Our most significant fundraiser of the year is right around the corner! From 6pm on March 5th to 6pm on March 6th we will be participating in DoMore24 Delaware. This 24-hr sprint is our chance to raise as much money from as many different people as possible - and our efforts are richly rewarded by the DoMore24 partnership of major, local foundations and corporations, who provide a percentage match. The better we do, the more they give!

About Newark Arts Alliance
The Newark Arts Alliance, now in its new home in Shoppes at Louviers!
Established in 1993, the Newark Arts Alliance (NAA) is a membership organization dedicated to "developing community through the arts". All artwork exhibited in our Gallery and sold in our Gallery Shop is created exclusively by local artists. We present up to ten exhibitions each year, including solo shows, small group shows, and themed exhibitions.
Established in 1993, the Newark Arts Alliance (NAA) is a membership organization dedicated to "developing community through the arts". All artwork exhibited in our Gallery and sold in our Gallery Shop is created exclusively by local artists. We present up to ten exhibitions each year, including solo shows, small group shows, and themed exhibitions.
The NAA offers classes for students of all ages and skill levels; holds events dedicated to the visual, literary, and performing arts; and sponsors a popular, full-day arts camp, Camp Imagine for two weeks each summer. Camp Imagine provides scholarships for many children to attend. We also offer free programs each month for musicians, writers, visual artists, dancers, and fiber artists.
To promote art in our community, the NAA sponsors artistic opportunities for children through our Art to Go projects brought to area community centers, low income housing projects, libraries and community events. These public art events are offered at no cost to the participant.
Membership is open to all, artists and supporters of the arts alike. The Newark Arts Alliance is supported through membership, class, and exhibition fees; art sales; space rentals; fundraising events; private donations; and grants. Additional support is received through business sponsorships and donations of goods. Our programs are also sponsored, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.
