About Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E.  (Creating Healing Answers & Necessary Guidance for Excellence): Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E. was erected in October 2009. Since its inception, the organization has provided a number of services to communities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, St. Maarten, and Sierra Leone. Today, Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E. provides behavioral and mental health services to youth and families in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Since November 2018, individual, family, and group services have been provided virtually and in person. Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E. continues to grow and assist youth and families reach their goals.

About Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E.'s YES Program: There are many youths within our communities who are experiencing issues with controlling their behavior and/or managing their emotions due to feelings of depression, stress, anxiety, or a mix of these. In a perfect world, ALL of the youth experiencing these issues would be able to get the help they need with hopes that they will work through their problems and ultimately have healthy, successful lives. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Many families do not have health insurance or the financial ability to get their children the help that they need. When not addressed, one’s ability to lead a ‘normal’ life can be impossible and may cause an array of difficulties that follow them into adulthood.

​Although many organizations work with sliding scale fees, there are very few organizations that are able to provide therapeutic services “free” of charge to youth and families who are unable to pay out of pocket. This is where TC comes in. With the help of grants and donations from the people and businesses in our community, we offer services focused on strengthening youth and families, regardless of their finances. In part, our mission is to create a balance in the lives of young people. Providing free and low-cost services to those who are uninsured or underinsured allows families who may not be able to afford out-of-pocket fees associated with behavioral/mental health services to get the help that they need. Being able to say YES to services that are just as important as a visit to our primary care physician, opens up a door for our young people to get the holistic care that they need and deserve.

Our Purpose: Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E. provides affordable therapeutic services to youth and families who need guidance and/or resources that will assist them in psychological, spiritual, social, and economic growth. We place a great focus on youth, particularly those who are uninsured or underinsured and who would otherwise not receive the assistance and resources needed to help them reach their full potential.

Our Vision: We believe that within every individual there is the potential to achieve greatness. Through the services provided, our vision is to successfully help individuals and families achieve excellence as it is defined by them, regardless of socioeconomic status. Although we provide services to all ages, TC's staff places great care on youth. Our motto, "It takes a village to raise a child," is one that resonates throughout our organization's culture. The services provided to our clients allow them an opportunity to receive the support, resources, and guidance they need to ensure a healthy transition into great mental and emotional health, success, and happiness.
