About The Compassionate Foundation

Mission: Compassionate Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides financial relief to Delaware residents who are diagnosed with a terminal illness and are actively engaged in curative treatment for their advanced serious illness. We offer a “one-time” assistance to those in need who will benefit from help with – food (pets too), shelter and utilities & comfort items or repairs.

You may remember us as the Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation (CCHF) from 2004-2019 (a nonprofit organization).  On February 1, 2019, our long standing relationship with the patients of Compassionate Care Hospice (a for profit business) when joined forces with another for profit nationally based group of hospices.  CCHF helped more than 74,000 patients from twenty-four states that were in financial need with life’s basics.  They have an existing benevolent foundation and we decided to venture out on our own with a slightly modified name, reach (Delaware only) and focus.

We collaborate with other Delaware organization and individuals to turn the dark reality of terminal illness into meals, rents, mortgages, utilities and comfort while impoverished individuals fight their cancer, heart disease, auto immune issues and poverty.
We are a very small group but have a mighty mission.  Life is a challenge when you believe for another day and another chance at life.  I know firsthand that miracles happen every day here in Delaware - especially when you bring people in need together with people who can help.
