The Ball 4 All Foundation

Our mission is to provide children in our community the opportunity to play sports and enjoy fitness, regardless of the family's financial situation. We are hoping to put to use any Do More 24 Delaware donations we might receive to bolster our Russell White Scholarship fund. Russell was a former football player at Indian River High School who enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to serve his country and, in turn, his community. He lost his life in Afghanistan in 2004, and the scholarship was created to help Indian River seniors, particularly those who have shown an interest in bettering the community around them.

Thank you for considering a donation to The Ball 4 All Foundation. We are a 100% volunteer run organization that is passionate about the positive impact that youth sports can have on our youth.  With the rising cost of everything including youth sports participation it can be difficult for families to provide this healthy outlet for their children. We believe youth sports not only provides health and fitness benefits, it provides friendships, memories and lessons that last a lifetime. Playing youth sports can help children life skills that will benefit them long term. Time management, teamwork, leadership just to name a few.  Your donation will help provide these opportunities and we are very grateful for your support.

What We do with funds:

Provide youth athletic scholarships:
- Equipment needed is purchased and delivered to the child's school or coach for the program they are participating in.
- Fees awarded are issued directly to the organization for participation fees. No funds are issued directly to families.
- Over $100,000 has been awarded by The Ball 4 All Foundation in youth athletic scholarships since our start in 2019.

Host Free Sports Clinics and Pre-Teen Nights:

- Host free sports clinics with organizations to allow children to try a sport out for the day free of charge to see if they are interested in participating for a full season.
     * We have hosted free softball, basketball, football and soccer events in the community.
     * We invite older athletes to come help host these events and stress the importance of setting a good example as an athlete as well as the impact they make by giving back to the community.

- Host Free Pre-Teen Nights that give children a safe place to play, socialize and have fun.
    * These are 3- hour Friday night events that allow parents time to go out to dinner and provide a safe environment for the youth to play without electronics.
     * Dinner, snacks and drinks are provided for the children at the events free of charge.
     * Volunteers that come to support and interact with the youth at these events are local police officers, firefighters, EMT's and coaches.

Funding The Russell White Scholarship:

The Russell White Scholarship is awarded to Indian River High School Seniors in honor of Russell's memory.
    * Russell White was a graduate of Indian River High School in 2002.
    * LCpl. Russell White lost his life in Afghanistan in 2004.
    * We are proud to fund this scholarship and award it each year to graduating seniors in Russell's honor.
