About Teach21 Enrichment Inc

Who We Are
Founded by Executive Director Latoya Pendergrass, Teach21 began with a vision to prevent summer learning loss and equip young people with the life skills needed to succeed beyond the classroom. Over the past five years, Teach21 has grown into a trusted community resource delivering year-round programming that empowers youth while supporting families.

Our Programs
Teach21 initiatives include:
  • FINFIT Academy – Financial literacy and entrepreneurship education led by Finny Finance
  • Kidtrepreneurs – Youth business and leadership development experiences
  • Empower21 & Prevention Programming – Promoting healthy decision-making and strong futures with Penny Prevention
  • Summer Enrichment Camp – Academic enrichment, leadership, and creative learning designed to prevent summer learning loss

We are proud to expand our impact through our mascots Finny Finance, Annie Affirmations, and Penny Prevention, who help bring financial education, emotional wellness, and prevention messages to life for youth and families.

We envision a community where educated, inspired, and supported youth grow into unified leaders who create stronger, healthier futures for themselves and the generations that follow.

Looking Ahead
As Teach21 celebrates five years of service, we are excited to grow into a permanent Community Connect Hub — a welcoming space where families can access resources, youth can develop leadership skills, and community partnerships can thrive.
