We're leading DE's first Indigenous Food Environment Survey! 1 in 4 Native homes are food insecure, compared to 1 in 9 Americans overall. As for Indigenous people living on the East Coast? That number is a blur. Most research on Indigenous food security and sovereignty are conducted on reservations in Western America, leaving the 87% of Native Americans living off reservations, or on the East Coast, with virtually no representation and effective food-centered support. YOU can help us fix this by donating to Delaware's FIRST Indigenous food survey project led by Native Nourishment. Your donation will help us collect data about food environments for Indigenous people living in Delaware AND help us distribute at-home edible gardening packs based on their responses.
