Harvest Years Senior Center

Harvest Years Senior Center Program serves a current active membership group of 615+ with a comprehensive monthly calendar of educational, recreational, social and wellness activities both on and off site. A hot, nutritious, noon-time meal is prepared on-site and served restaurant style. The Shopping Program currently serves 121 eligible age 60 and over, Kent County Seniors with their grocery shopping needs. Concurrent trips can also be made to the pharmacy, bank and post office. The Shopping Program supports seniors’ independent living. Over 70% of the clients in the Shopping Program reside in subsidized senior housing in Kent County. We also were successful this past year delivering food boxes to homebound seniors because of Pandemic, and we our hoping to  team up with the food bank this summer to continue this program. The Healthcare transport program, we transport homebound senior to and from their medical appointments, we now average over 104 trips a month. Harvest Years Senior Center now employs 8 part-time shoppers at an hourly rate and mileage reimbursement, and 1 medical driver at a hourly rate.
