About Delaware Humanities

Mission: Founded in 1973, Delaware Humanities strengthens our communities by connecting Delawareans through the diversity of human experiences. We are Delaware’s independent, nonprofit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Delaware Humanities provides program services and funding opportunities to cultural, educational, and civic institutions statewide for projects and public events that enhance our understanding of who we are, where we’ve been, and where we are going as individuals, communities, and citizens of Delaware.

We have two grant types, Opportunity Grants for up to $5,000 and Action/Innovations grants for up to $18,000.

Our program services provide Speakers, Conversation Leaders, exhibits, and toolkits to any organization or group in the state.
