DFSME works to unite Delaware to support classroom STEM teachers who inspire and prepare the students of today for the workforce of tomorrow.
About Delaware Foundation for Science & Mathematics Education (DFSME)
We stand with Delaware STEM educators who guide their students into careers and livelihoods that are meaningful to them and their community. We work hand-in-hand with the businesses which need a skilled STEM workforce to innovate and bring prosperity to Delaware. We partner directly with the Department of Education to inform and deliver programs that have the greatest impact.
Our programs include:
- STEM ConnectED Day, professional development for teachers visiting Delaware STEM businesses and organizations
- innovation seed grants up to $5,000
- just-in-time mini grants up to $500
- monthly Shining Light awards, $100
- annual awards for outstanding STEM advocacy, collaboration in STEAM education
- The Delaware STEM Council, which distributes the annual Delaware STEM Educator Awards (up to $7,500)
- Million Women Mentors, which hosts Engineering Your Tomorrow and organizes Delaware Outstanding Women in STEM
