About Connecting Generations

Mission: Connecting Generations provides children with the tools that they need to become emotionally strong, resilient, and socially competent individuals who can successfully navigate school and life.

About us: Founded in 1990, Connecting Generations (CGI) works exclusively with schools and educational institutions to offer two programs throughout the State that seek to equip and strengthen youth resiliency while building their social and emotional health.

Our Divisions:
  • Creative Mentoring - working with over 1400 mentors, Creative Mentoring provides one-to-one mentoring for youth in kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Creative Education - our Power of Water, Seasons of Respect, Character Climb, Summer Breeze, and Respect through the Arts programs provide character-building workshops, arts programs and peer mentoring to youth in kindergarten-8th grade.
  • Creative Collaborations provides programs and services to youth in special populations including youth in foster care, and the siblings of youth with special health care needs (SibShops).
