About Autism Delaware

Mission: Autism Delaware’s mission is to help people and families affected by autism. Our vision is that all people with autism will have opportunities to learn, grow and live full lives as included and valued members of their communities.

Autism Delaware was founded in Delaware, by Delawareans, for Delaware families 25 years ago when the estimated rate of autism diagnosis was 1 in 2500 children. Today, the CDC estimates that one in 36 children will be diagnosed with autism by age 8.

Thousands of people and families in Delaware are on a lifelong autism journey that often begins with fear, worry, and a lack of resources. With your donation, we can continue to provide award winning services like our Family Navigation program, our Autism Care Team (ACT), and our adult services, including Productive Opportunities for Work and Recreation (POW&R), to a growing autism community.

Your help will also allow us to provide autism-friendly social and recreational events, educational workshops, support groups, and statewide advocacy on issues that matter to people on the spectrum living in Delaware.

Your donation helps us meet families where they are, in communities throughout Delaware, virtually and in-person, to walk with them on their journey with autism.
