EVERY CHILD DESERVES A CAMP STORY:

Help Us Make Y Camp Accessible to All!

Join us in igniting the spark of discovery and friendship in the hearts of over 5,000 young adventurers this summer across our YMCA of Delaware camps.

At YMCA day camps across Delaware and our incredible overnight camping experience at YMCA Camp Tockwogh in Worton, MD, we offer a world of outdoor adventure, skill-building opportunities, and the development of lifelong friendships for thousands of local youth and teens.

Last year, our camps were a summer sanctuary for nearly 5,0000 youth, with 1 in 5 families embarking on this journey through the support of financial assistance, amounting to over $1.5 million in YMCA and state -funded scholarships.

These joyful experiences are only possible thanks to the generous contributions of donors like you. Your support is a lifeline that extends the reach of our camps to every family, ensuring that no child is left behind due to financial constraints.

For every $50 you generously contribute, you sponsor a day at camp filled with laughter, learning, and adventure for a local child this summer.

For every donation of $250, you will provide a child in need with a full week of unforgettable experiences, new skills, and lasting friendships.

A transformative gift of $2,500 will provide a child with a two-week, life-altering overnight camp experience at our
YMCA Camp Tockwogh

In this exciting 24-hour giving campaign, we invite you to be a cornerstone of change and hope in our shared community. Your donation is not just a gift but a passport for a child to explore, grow, and dream in the safe, nurturing embrace of YMCA summer camps.

Together, we can guarantee that every family has access to essential and enriching summer childcare and that every young person in our community has the chance to flourish this summer.

We encourage you to embrace this opportunity to make a lasting impact. Gift a summer of adventure, belonging, and joy. Be the change—donate today and etch your mark on the lives of countless children, crafting summers they will treasure forever.

About YMCA of Delaware

Mission: The YMCA of Delaware’s mission is to empower youth, foster healthy living, and promote strong communities. Our vision is a healthy, inclusive community where all people reach their full potential.

Established in 1889, the YMCA of Delaware impacts the lives of over 150,000 individuals each year through its 7 full-service branches, an urban youth development center, two outdoor recreation complexes, an overnight resident camp, and numerous school partnership sites across the state. We believe our community is strongest when everyone has access to opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.

For more than 135 years, we've remained committed to empowering youth, fostering healthy living, and building stronger, more equitable communities throughout Delaware. Our programs address critical community needs by preventing chronic diseases like diabetes, promoting educational equity, and ensuring all Delawareans have access to transformative experiences. In 2024 alone, we provided more than $5.24 million in financial assistance, making life-changing YMCA services accessible to nearly 17,000 youth and adults statewide.
