Millions of youth have entered adulthood with little to no basic or life skills.  25% of our youth do not complete high school and unfortunately, a number of those youth lack support, and  are either homeless, displaced  or are in foster care.  With over 500 children in the Delaware foster care system, 20%  will age out and become instantly  homeless.  Under 3% will earn a college degree and 50% are unemployed by the age of 21.

The R.I.S.E program is designed to increase the success rate of our youth.  Our program offers skill building workshops, resume writing classes, mock interviews and transitional living services to youth ages 16-21 who are in the foster care system. This  program also  provides structured assistance to make the transition into adulthood effortless.  We achieve this by offering training which includes but is not limited to basic skills, life skills, money management, educational assistance, critical thinking, job seeking skills, decision making, goal setting, communication skills and housing assistance.
