The Delaware Historical Society is a nonprofit organization that preserves, promotes, and shares Delaware’s history to educate, inspire, and empower people and communities.
Historic houses and gardens inspire and connect us, but they also take a lot of TLC! With spring in the air and blooms around the corner, we’re raising funds for preservation work on our iconic gates. With your support, expert conservators will cut away sections of deteriorated wood and replace them with discreet patches and fresh paint to conceal the repairs. This will keep them swinging open for our 2021 guests the way they have been for a full century, since 1921!
