Norris Anniversary

A fundraiser for Nemours Foundation

In celebration of our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we kindly ask that you not bring any gifts.

Instead, if you feel moved to mark the occasion, we invite you to make a contribution to the Stephen P. Dunn Endowed Fund for Surgery—a cause that holds deep personal meaning for our family.

In 1995, our daughter Alissa received a lifesaving liver transplant performed by Dr. Dunn, now Chief of the Division of Solid Organ Transplantation at Nemours Children’s Hospital. His exceptional skill and care gave our daughter a second chance at life.

Over his 35+ year career, Dr. Dunn has performed nearly 1,000 pediatric liver and kidney transplants, changing the lives of countless families. He has also worked globally to expand access to pediatric transplant services in countries like Bolivia, India, and Jamaica. The Stephen P. Dunn Endowed Fund for Surgery ensures that Dr. Dunn’s legacy will continue well beyond his retirement—supporting the care of children in need of organ transplants for generations to come.

Any contribute will help make life-saving surgeries possible for more children and offer hope to their families—just as we received hope all those years ago.

With gratitude,
Robin & Todd

About Nemours Foundation

Mission: At Nemours, we treat every child as our own — and transform lives in extraordinary ways. We have made it our mission to pursue life-saving research and provide world-class pediatric care in our hospitals and clinics. Our goal is to help children, everywhere, grow into healthy adults. To do this, we think of health as more than just medicine. Good health involves education, food, housing, family stability, emotional well-being, equity, justice and more. That’s why we go outside of our walls to reach kids where they live, learn and play. We’re here, beyond medicine.

Your gifts advance these endeavors:
  • Provide much-needed outpatient psychosocial support for patients in the Nemours Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders
  • Perform an epidemiologic study to determine the frequency of cytomegalovirus, an infection that can cause several serious medical issues, including hearing loss.
  • Helps to fund Angel Eyes, a tool that allows a mother in a separate location to view and talk to their infant in the Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware NICU.
  • Celebrate prom, a special event for chronically ill children in our inpatient and outpatient setting who miss the chance to attend prom with their classmates due to their medical condition or treatment.
  • And so much more.
