Giving Tuesday is one of the most important days of the year for Humane Animal Partners (HAP). Your gift will be put to work right away to feed hungry animals, heal injuries, provide safe, warm beds, and help our dogs and cats get a second chance for a happy, healthy life.
This year in particular, your support will also provide affordable veterinary services to local pet owners who are struggling to access medical care for their beloved pets. These lifesaving services are critical for animals like Boots, a 2-month-old cat rescued from the streets recently. Boots was found malnourished, cold, and scared. The women who found Boots brought her to us during a wellness clinic in which we were able to provide low-cost vaccinations, deworming, and flea control. Thankfully, Boots is now healthy and happy at home!
Humane Animal Partners is now offering low-cost veterinary wellness services at their Wilmington location , and your Giving Tuesday donation will help directly support this initiative. While both Stanton/Christiana and Wilmington have offered spay/neuter for many years, low-cost veterinary care had previously only been available at HAP’s Stanton/Christiana location. This decision comes at a pivotal time as Delaware residents struggle to get timely, low-cost veterinary care. HAP’s additional wellness services will address this vital need and this Giving Tuesday your donations will directly support this critical service.
Best of all, all gifts made on Giving Tuesday will be matched by a group of generous HAP supporters and count toward our Matching Gift Challenge. This means your gift will go twice as far to provide exceptional care and endless love to animals in need like Penny, a pregnant dog we rescued from euthanasia at the final hour. This sweet girl was so pregnant and desperate for care that she gave birth to 3 puppies in the car being transported to us!
