A fundraiser for United Way of Delaware (UWDE)

$1,226 raised from 32 donors

$1,000 goal

2020 has brought about a worldwide pandemic, social unrest, economic distress, racial equity and systemic racism where people are waiting for a hero to step up and United Way of Delaware has done just that!  Our Health and Human services hotline, Delaware 211, was able to respond to the basic needs people were dealing with in regards to health care, financial assistance, food and housing and we were also able to provide the latest government information.  Additionally, we were able to stand up 211 press 4 to bridge the technology gap and provide other resources for families, so all children would be able to continue their education virtually.  All Roads lead to equity…and we were able to build a statewide collaborative of leaders to create a Racial Equity & Social Justice Collaboration.  With this collaboration we stand to advocate for equity and social justice and take people from a recovery situation through a continuum, leading them to be able to rebuild and reimagine a good quality of life.  So please support me as I strive to reach my personal goal of $1,000 to help continue our work to turning someone’s dark today into a brighter tomorrow!

Thank you!

About United Way of Delaware (UWDE)

Mission: At United Way of Delaware, we're answering the call to help our community thrive. We're working to ensure kids can read on grade level by third grade, support career and college success for youth, connect families to vital resources through Delaware 211, and empower individuals with the tools they need to achieve financial stability. It’s about creating lasting change that lifts up everyone, not just offering temporary fixes.

When you give to United Way of Delaware you are helping children and families. Whether it's a kindergartner who lacks the resources to learn remotely, or a family calling 2-1-1 seeking immediate shelter, United Way of Delaware has initiatives in the community that make an impact in the lives of real people.
