Friends of the Brandywine Hundred Library Do More 24 Delaware 2025
Organization Mission:
The Friends of the Brandywine Hundred Library plays an important role for the library by providing material support to enhance the library’s ability to serve its patrons.
The Friends of the Brandywine Hundred Library are thrilled to announce that we are participating again in DoMore24 Delaware/Delaware Gives, a statewide giving campaign in support of the Brandywine Hundred Library.
Last year, through your generosity, we raised over $2,505 in 24 hours!
This year, our GOAL is $3,000 and we are excited to share how you can help!
THIS YEAR, with your support, the Friends of the Brandywine Hundred library will fund additional early literacy programming on weekends, to better accommodate the many working families of the Brandywine Hundred library community.
Early literacy activities help a child make connections to the world around them
Understanding our WHY…
Early literacy lays a child's foundation for literacy, through talking, singing, playing, and listening; and early literacy programming is a treasure in this regard!
Early literacy programs include stories, songs, rhymes, puppets, and play—all purposefully designed to support a child's language and reading development.
Your donation will help more families in our community build a strong foundation for literacy and help our community's children grow into readers.
Early literacy programs build strong family connections and establish a household love of learning
