At United Way of Delaware, we're answering the call to help our community thrive. We're working to ensure kids can read on grade level by third grade, support career and college success for youth, connect families to vital resources through Delaware 211, and empower individuals with the tools they need to achieve financial stability. It’s about creating lasting change that lifts up everyone, not just offering temporary fixes.

Join the Community Engagement and Relationships team of United Way of Delaware, were it unites people, ideas, and resources to improve lives and build a stronger community. We envision a community where everyone has an opportunity to achieve their potential, regardless of zip code, race, or ethnicity.

Back-to-school season should be exciting, but it stresses many families financially. With school supplies costing $200–$300 per child, many students risk starting the year without essentials, jeopardizing their success and confidence.

United Way of Delaware’s  Annual Bookbag Giveaway and Resource Fair eases this burden by providing bookbags and supplies. Last year, over 1,000 students received backpacks! Help us reach this goal again with your generous support.

Join us in uplifting students and families across New Castle, Kent, Sussex, and Salem County, ensuring every child starts the school year strong!
