Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome

People of Delaware see many examples of ways they are not  treated equitably as the result of government, corporate, and social policies that leave them angry and frustrated. As a minority, I understand the importance of offering minorities affordable housing, healthcare, good quality schools, college and career readiness, safe neighborhoods, access to wealth creation and decent paying jobs.

Your support will help us empower those who have experienced a rough year already, following the turmoil over many issues in dealing with COVID-19. Thankfully, for many of those years, United Way of Delaware has been doing great work to support all people living in Delaware and making their  lives more equitable, by giving the most vulnerable Delawareans an opportunity to prosperity.
