As we look back on the events in the news in 2024, it’s a reminder that independent journalism is the lifeline we depend on for a free and informed democracy. And supporters like you are the lifeline Delaware Public Media depends on to provide real-time reporting of in-depth and breaking news happening in our neighborhoods, our community, and our world.
Throughout this year’s election season, News Director Tom Byrne led a full press of team coverage to make sure the community had the information needed to make fully informed decisions. DPM offered a series of candidate conversations with candidates who ran in the races for U.S. House, U.S. Senate, Governor, Lt. Governor, and Insurance Commissioner. Once again, we teamed up with the University of Delaware’s Center for Political Communication to bring you live debates. We provided an exhaustive list of voter information resources on the website, and our reporters were on the scene on election night with results and interviews.
DPM and NPR can't sustain this important work in 2025 without your financial support. We don’t provide the news to make money. In fact, we believe in news for people, not for profit. We’re working to fortify our democracy with news about and for the people in 2025 and beyond! Our future depends on your support!
Simply put, the public radio reporting that you and so many Delawareans rely on is built on listener support. This is why we’re asking for your generous contribution this Giving Tuesday. Think of it as an investment... and one with a great return.
As we make plans for the new year, we’re counting on you, so visit
