DCA Do More 24 for Irene!

A fundraiser for Delaware ChoralArts

$195 raised from 8 donors

$500 goal

I’m Irene Plotzker.

I’m fundraising for Delaware ChoralArts.

I have been singing with DCA since 2000. I had not had a lot of experience singing great choral music, and I wanted more.

Singing great music nourishes me emotionally. It's a natural antidepressant. When I am totally within and surrounded by the music, I'm in a completely different and wonderful space. Then being able to share this beautiful and inspirational music with others brings me joy.

I am asking YOU to donate to DCA through this Do More 24 campaign to keep us singing and providing high-quality, diverse, and beautiful live music to Delaware.

And, if that's not enough, I am the current President of DCA. Please help me to lead by example!

Thank you for your support!

About Delaware ChoralArts

Mission: A professional-caliber community chorus known for its expressive singing, diverse programming and beautiful choral sound, Delaware ChoralArts strives to harness the documented power of the arts to improve the community's quality of life through its inspiring performances, development of talented singers, and community collaborations.

Delaware ChoralArts serves the greater Wilmington area by presenting a wide range of choral literature, including classical masterworks, spirituals, and music by contemporary and historically under-represented composers. We also cultivate talented singers through professional development and preparation and nurture the art of choral music in the community through collaborations, for example, with high school students and the Wilmington Children’s Chorus.

DCA is run by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors made up of members of the chorale along with support from members of the community who serve in an advisory capacity.

Funding for DCA comes from several sources, including a growing number of enthusiastic Patrons, fund raising projects, ticket and ad sales. The organization is also supported in part by generous grants from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Presser Foundation.
