For more than forty years, UPD has offered a haven for teens from Northern Ireland during the month of July.  This sanctuary of space and time has changed and developed over the decades.  However, what has remained consistent is a month grounded in friendship, the exploration of peace and tolerance, leadership development, and discovery of self and community responsibility for the young people involved.  At a time in our country where divisions are wide, and issues of race, religious intolerance, and violence are in the headlines both locally and nationally, the mission, values, and commitment to community found in Ulster Project Delaware are profoundly important.
