A fundraiser for Presbyterian Church of the Covenant

$1,750 raised from 2 donors

$10,000 goal

For the 2023-2024 season our goal is to raise $10,000 from the community. The money will be used to secure musicians from our partner organizations for all events and cover copyright costs for performances.

Six years have passed since our community embarked on the journey that is now known as the Arts at Covenant. What initially began as a modest concert series has since evolved into a passionate mission, one that unites our community through the celebration of music's diverse and unifying force.

During this time, not only have we welcomed amazing musicians into our Sanctuary including
  • Variant 6
  • The Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble
  • Children Opera Box Theatre
  • Award-winning composer Melissa Dunphy
  • The Micah Graves Project
  • Duke University Chapel organist Chad Fothergill, but we have strengthened our connection with our neighbors and community.

The Arts at Covenant has become an organization that champions music created by women and people of color through lasting partnerships.
  • In June, we hosted the Delaware Women's Chorus and Cantabile Choir from the Music School of Delaware as they performed their "Scotland Send-Off '' Concert ahead of a two-week tour across the Atlantic. We are excited to partner with them again this December at our Annual Candlelight Advent Vespers.
  • Featured Midnight Society, an all-female Barbershop Quartet at our Halloween Spooktacular last year as well as during our Summer Concert Series.
  • In September, we were blessed to host the debut concert of the newly formed Delaware Academy of Vocal Arts' Elevation Choir whose mission is to develop workforce opportunities for marginalized communities of artists and to expand the choral repertoire to include traditionally underrepresented styles of music-making.

In just the past year, we have had the privilege of welcoming over 500 neighbors and their families to a diverse array of concerts, spanning genres such as jazz, Broadway, opera, choral music, contemporary sounds, and an array of other spectacular events.

We are steadfast in our commitment to expand our Artist in Residency program, which has now reached its one-year milestone! This initiative provides ensembles and solo artists with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in our program, offering them the space to nurture their artistic talents and collaborate with numerous local musicians. Our inaugural Artist in Residence, the trailblazing Wilmington Concert Opera, remains an integral part of this endeavor and has an exhilarating season ahead, including a performance of "Hänsel and Gretel" this November.

Over 40 children had a summer they will never forget! With the support of many of you, our generous donors, we were able to introduce song and music to the kids through the 4th annual Summer Arts Camp. This phenomenal free week-long camp of workshops and masterclasses was put on by Camp Director, Brandon DeHoff who worked with professional musicians, actors, and visual artists. On the last day of camp, it was obvious from the campers’ hugs and tears that they had life changing experiences.

As we look ahead to the next five years, we ask for your support once more.

We are in need of critical funding to ensure we can continue The Arts at Covenant mission.

For the 2023-2024 season our goal is to raise $10,000 from the community. The money will be used to secure musicians from our partner organizations for all events and cover copyright costs for performances.

Your generosity can help us make this season a success!
