Support the Delaware Afterschool Network

A fundraiser for United Way of Delaware (UWDE)

$125 raised from 3 donors

$400 goal

The Delaware Afterschool Network (DEAN) endorses the goal that all school-age children be academically, socially, culturally, and physically healthy. DEAN, along with its partners, works to create a long-term policy voice for afterschool programs; advocates for policies that support high-quality programs; supports the afterschool workforce; increases public awareness regarding afterschool programs; builds bridges between schools and community-based organizations, and supports family-centered practices.

We are asking for your support to help advance the work of the Delaware Afterschool Network. By supporting DEAN, you are supporting the afterschool community in Delaware. This year, more than ever, we must remember the importance of afterschool for children and families.

Afterschool programs provide students access to homework help, STEM learning opportunities, service learning, healthy meals and physical activity, and so much more. Additionally, more than 7 in 10 parents agree that afterschool programs allow them to keep their job or work more hours and build their own skills through classes or workshops.  Together, we can move forward to help our students and families thrive.

And in exciting news, this year, DEAN turns 5! To celebrate our 5th anniversary, we encourage you to donate in increments of $5. The past 5 years of supporting Delaware students have been an incredible experience, but we look forward to doing even more in the next 5!

About United Way of Delaware (UWDE)

Mission: At United Way of Delaware, we're answering the call to help our community thrive. We're working to ensure kids can read on grade level by third grade, support career and college success for youth, connect families to vital resources through Delaware 211, and empower individuals with the tools they need to achieve financial stability. It’s about creating lasting change that lifts up everyone, not just offering temporary fixes.

When you give to United Way of Delaware you are helping children and families. Whether it's a kindergartner who lacks the resources to learn remotely, or a family calling 2-1-1 seeking immediate shelter, United Way of Delaware has initiatives in the community that make an impact in the lives of real people.
