At United Way of Delaware, we're answering the call to help our community thrive. We're working to ensure kids can read on grade level by third grade, support career and college success for youth, connect families to vital resources through Delaware 211, and empower individuals with the tools they need to achieve financial stability. It’s about creating lasting change that lifts up everyone, not just offering temporary fixes.

Soy Wanda Barrett. Estoy recaudando fondos para United Way of Delaware (UWDE). Hace justo un año, COVID-19 nos encerró en nuestros hogares, lo que significa que tuvimos que estudiar, trabajar y mirarnos a los ojos a través de una cámara.

El acceso al internt ha permitido a muchos de nosotros avanzar. Tenemos la oportunidad de trabajar remotamente y estudiar en línea. Sin embargo, la realidad de nuestro acceso a Internet no es la misma en general en nuestra comunidad

La despenalización tecnolofical es una forma de povert y exclusión social, privando a algunos ciudadanos si son recursos esenciales para el desarrollo y la riqueza de nuestra generación. Hemos visto esto mucho durante la pandemia COVID-19, ya que a los estudiantes y trabajadores les resultaba difícil trabajar desde casa y seguir las clases en línea.

Hoy les pido que rompan las paredes que se crean alrededor de este recurso tan necesario. Con una donación de $10.00 puede traer internet a la casa de los estudiantes más vulnerables cada mes. $50.00 les permitirá acceder hasta el verano, con la esperanza de un nuevo año escolar
