The effects of COVID-19 have increased public demand for food programs in our communities and now, our work at The Delaware KIDS Fund is more critical than ever. Historically, proceeds from our annual 5k run/walk (hosted every August since 2010) fund elementary school food pantry and backpack programs for local schools experiencing high poverty rates. Unfortunately, COVID-19 is also preventing us from being able to safely host our long-standing annual community event. To fulfill this community necessity and our commitment to our next generation in need, we have created the 92 Days of KIDS initiative. 92 Days of KIDS will raise funds throughout the summer (all 92 days of it!) while also focus on the importance of healthy eating habits, accessibility to food for those in need.. plus much more. Proceeds will be used to open our third food pantry as part of our ultimate goal of FIVE food pantries, in FIVE years at FIVE schools. Help us fight childhood food insecurity within Delaware and consider making a donation today.
No donation is too small. Any amount is appreciated.
