40 Under 40 Fundraiser

A fundraiser for NERDiT Cares

$730 raised from 13 donors

$1,600 goal

I’m Sarah Fulton.

I’m fundraising for NERDiT Cares.

My name is Sarah Fulton, I have been named to this year's list of the Delaware Business Times "40 Under 40" for my role as Board President of NERDiT Cares. I have served in this role since 2021, and have helped our organization recruit a dynamic team of staff members who work each day to close the digital divide here in Delaware — and beyond.

To celebrate this award and the light it shines on NERDiT Cares, I'm eager to find 40 people who will donate $40 to sustain our next cohort of NERDiT Academy students. The NERDiT Academy helps those who are interested in a career in the field of technology succeed in today’s economy. Our training program provides both theoretical and hands-on training for all our apprentices and pre-apprentices. Our instructors teach practical skills that will equip our trainees for a number of good paying jobs in the technical field.

About NERDiT Cares

Mission: NERDiT Cares believes in empowering underserved communities by ending the digital divide. NERDiT Cares is dedicated to closing the digital divide by creating equitable access to technology devices and offering industry-standard technological career training, apprenticeships, and job placement. To this end, we have donated over 11,000 computers to people living in at-risk neighborhoods in Wilmington, DE, and throughout the region in the past five years. Our workforce development programs have helped over 75 residents change their career trajectories and become certified for high-paying IT careers. Thank you, fellow NERD!
