ART IS AN ESCAPE!

Whether personal or societal, physical or mental; the act of escape suggests the crossing of a boundary from one environment into another. In our upcoming FALL 2023 season, The Delaware Contemporary will present artwork and installations that investigate the landscapes we cross to escape. How do we rationalize our escapes within the context of our realities? Our desire for escape can be a daily practice, a prolonged undertaking, or even a forever alteration to our lives. Regardless of the motivation, escape can offer a release and provide us with relief and joy.

Funds raised during Do More 24 will support The Delaware Contemporary's innovative exhibitions and programming initiatives. Our fall season of ESCAPE will feature a unique "escape room" to engage our audiences in an immersive experience.

Increase your impact! Thanks to the Delaware Division of the Arts (DDOA), we will be eligible for the DDOA stretch pool to receive additional funds on a proportionate basis.

First Friday Art Loop at THE DELAWARE CONTEMPORARY!
DO MORE 24 ends at 6 PM during March Art Loop. Join us for a toast to celebrate!

About The Delaware Contemporary

Mission: The Delaware Contemporary’s mission is to infuse contemporary art and creativity into the community through compelling exhibitions, dynamic educational experiences, and access to the artistic process.

TDC presents over 30 exhibitions annually of regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized artists that explore topical issues in contemporary art and society. The museum provides opportunities for local and emerging artists, and is committed to educational and community outreach through a variety of immersive programs. TDC welcomes and embraces all who seek to experience art, offering free admission on the First Friday of every month to ensure equitable access to the arts. Through collaboration with artists, curators, and partner organizations the museum takes risks and pushes boundaries to inspire new ways of looking at the world, offer artistically stimulating experiences, and engage more people in the transformative power of art to positively impact our community.
